WEC has been particularly proud of the establishment of new professional networks for women entrepreneurs, connecting them with an ecosystem of investors, advisors, peers, and public sector champions. Participating countries have existing entrepreneurial ecosystems, but there is too often a lack of visibility or access to them for many aspiring entrepreneurs, especially women. WEC increases access and visibility for program participants through partnerships with governments, the World Bank, and successful local and international investors and entrepreneurs. This strengthens the existing networks by introducing new talent and perspectives to local partners, and exposes international investors to the vibrancy and innovation of women entrepreneurs in participating countries.
